April 5th Palm Sunday

Early Service: Chandra, Kevin, Tim & Rhonda

Main Idea: Palm Sunday was a day celebrating the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem for the passover. It is the start of the last week of his life. On this day we see him at the pinnacle of His ministry, with many supporters. Not everyone was honoring God on that day though. In just a few days Jesus was captured, tried, and crucified, and this very same crowd cried for Barabbas.

Worship: Mighty to Save from Shout Praises Kids DVD -- FYI: ( Hosanna means "save us, please". On Palm Sunday, the people were proclaiming that Jesus was mighty to save!)

Memory Work: Instead of memorizing a particular verse, the kids will memorize the meaning of two words: hosanna - Save us, please! and Worship: giving praise, adoration and thanksgiving to God.
